Hello, my name is Lesley Cantrell and I am excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher and I am thrilled to be at Parmalee! We are going to have so much fun learning, laughing and exploring this year! I truly love teaching and can’t imagine doing any other profession.
I received my Elementary degree from the University of Idaho. For the past 20+ years, I have been working with primary children as a Kindergarten teacher, K-2 Reading and Math Interventionist, and Preschool teacher. This will be my 12th year teaching Kindergarten and 8th year at Parmalee. I am certified in Elementary Education grades K-6.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and moved here from Idaho 24 years ago. I have a daughter who lives with her husband and the cutest grandbaby in Washington. I also have a daughter who is at Arapahoe Community College this fall. When I’m not teaching I enjoy gardening, being outdoors, kayaking, crafts, and spending time with my family and our sweet adopted dog, Daisy.
I understand that you and your child may have excitement and/or apprehension for the upcoming school year. I hope this web page will let you know what to expect in Kindergarten and answer any questions you may have. I look forward to working with you and your child this school year. My goal is to instill the love for learning and provide a nurturing, supportive, and joyful environment for all children.
Coming soon
Stay tuned ;-)
