All percussionists are required to have a pair of SD1 drumsticks, music and pencil in class at all times.
While not required in 6th grade, it is highly recommended that students have:
Stick bag (with their name on it)
Xylophone Mallets (rec. Innovative Percussion Fundamental Series - Hard Xylophone or equivalent)
Timpani Mallets (rec. Vic. Firth T1 General or equivalent)
Some companies do offer stick/mallet packs that include drum sticks, mallets, and a bag.
Music stores can often assist with finding equivalent mallets if the recommended ones are not available.
