JOIN AN EXTRACURRICULAR YOUTH SYMPHONY!
JOIN AN EXTRACURRICULAR YOUTH SYMPHONY!
Passionate orchestra students are HIGHLY encouraged to audition and participate in extracurricular Youth Orchestra organizations. These experiences are like enrolling in a “bonus” orchestra group, and a great opportunity to connect with more student musicians from the area. These groups meet for rehearsal one night per week, and work toward several concerts throughout the school-year. Youth Symphony is kind of like getting to participate in All County Orchestra…. all year round!!!! This is the perfect enrichment opportunity for kids who just can’t get enough playing!

In 2022-2024, twelve awesome BMS orchestra students were selected for this honor!!!! The orchestra spent time learning advanced concert music with peer musicians from all across Jefferson county. Musicians are led by professional-level clinicians with years of expertise and awards in the realm of music education. At the end of the workshop, all student musicians show off their accomplishments in a concert.

Auditions are on November 16th.
Event is held on January 10th and 12th.
Directors are NOT permitted to release audition music digitally. Students must pick up a physical paper copy of the audition music from Mrs. Phillips at school.
