Empty Bowls
Charity Event

Wednesday, February 7th, 5:30 to 7:00 pm

at Bear Creek High School
9800 West Dartmouth Place
Lakewood CO 80227

Join us for this special community event to raise money for the Lakewood Action Center.

Tickets are $5 at the door.

We will have handmade bowls from Bear Creek and the surrounding elementary and middle schools. With your $5 entry fee, you get to pick out and take home one of these clay bowls, as well as enjoy a wonderful homemade soup/chili dinner.

The clay bowls at this event are created by our students and faculty and are a symbol of the hunger that many individuals experience within our community and how we can all come together to help fill those bowls.

Additionally, while everyone is enjoying their meal, there will also be performances from Bear Creek High School's music department, as well as from the elementary and middle schools in the Bear Creek Articulation Area.

We recommend arriving a little early to allow time to pay at the door as you enter the front of the school.

Participating Schools:
Bear Creek High School, Bear Creek K-8, Carmody Middle School, Green Gables Elementary, Kendallvue Elementary, Kendrick Lakes Elementary, Red Rocks Elementary, and Westgate Elementary

An entrance fee of a $5 donation includes...

A Community Project

A huge thank you to all of the participating area schools for taking part in this event to provide musical performances and create handmade clay bowls: Bear Creek K-8, Carmody Middle School, Green Gables Elementary, Kendallvue Elementary, Kendrick Lakes Elementary, Red Rocks Elementary, and Westgate Elementary

Students from elementary, middle, and high school created ceramic bowls to donate to this event.

In addition, teachers, staff, and family came in after school to create ceramic bowls.

Pick out one of these handmade bowls at the event to take home.

Ceramic Donations

We continue to accept pottery donations from the community.

If you're a ceramic artist with glazed bowls, plates, mugs, or other handmade ceramic pieces, we are happy to accept your pottery donations at Bear Creek High School.

Donated pieces will be auctioned off at the Empty Bowls charity event with proceeds going to the Action Center.
