Mr. Hunt, Band

Chris Hunt teaches elementary band at Bear Creek K-8, Green Gables, Kendrick Lakes, Kendallvue, Red Rocks, and Westgate elementary schools, concert band and symphonic band at Bear Creek K-8 Middle School. 

Born and raised in Colorado, he has a bachelors degree in Music Education from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a masters degree from The University of Phoenix in curriculum.  Mr. Hunt is a brass player specializing in trumpet performance. He has taught private trumpet students but loves to spend time with his 2 adult children who are currently attending college. Mr. Hunt spends a lot of time watching his daughter compete in the pool as a division 1 athlete at  the University of South Dakota. He also enjoys restoring classic cars and watching "his Denver Broncos" on Sunday. 

Mrs. Miller, Orchestra

Kirstin Miller teaches orchestra at Bear Creek K-8, Green Gables, Kendallvue, Kendrick Lakes, Red Rocks, and Westgate elementary schools, and Bear Creek High School. 

Originally from New York, she received her bachelors degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam. She moved to Colorado in 2006 to pursue a masters degree in Music Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as begin her orchestra teaching career in Jeffco. Mrs. Miller is the co-founder and co-conductor of the Jeffco Community Orchestra, which meets in the summer and provides adults the opportunity to continue playing their string instruments in an orchestral setting. She is a member of and serves on the board of the Colorado chapter of the American String Teacher's Association. Mrs. Miller also plays violin in the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra. Outside of teaching and making music,  Mrs. Miller enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters,  spending time with friends, Zumba, running, and working on craft and home projects.
