Falcon Bluffs is happy to offer a yoga class not only to add to our physical education offerings, but also to learn how to incorporate mindfulness and our six collective commitments in the world beyond Falcon. In our class, we explore the teachings of yoga through the lens of CASELs five social emotional learning competencies (self-awareness, self- management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making). Our goals are accomplished through a physical yoga practice as well as mindfulness practices like meditation, body scans, journaling, and self reflections.

Some of our past activities have included:

  • Random acts of kindness,

  • Falcon Bluffs community change projects (Bucket's for Teachers and Student of the Week)

  • Using mandalas to understand our emotions.
