Welcome to 4th Grade!

My name is Mrs. Jenn Archibald (kids and parents can call me Archie) and I am so excited to be teaching your child this year. This is my 16th year of teaching, with the past 13 years working in a self contained GT classroom. Gifted education is my passion. I particularly enjoy working with the twice exceptional population as many of neurodiverse children have many layers.

I believe all children have the capability to learn new things. It is my job as the teacher to provide the tools necessary for each child to perform at their fullest potential. In a day and age where technology is a prominent tool in society, I feel as though information and learning technologies is vital for our children to learn. It is my job to teach the tools that are used world wide.

I will differentiate all lessons and provide classroom management that encourages a thriving classroom community. Through cooperative learning strategies and technology, my classroom will maintain a team environment that is both creative and successful. My team and I will work collaboratively to ensure we are integrating the 21st century skills of critical thinking and reasoning, information literacy, self-direction, collaboration, and innovation into our classrooms. This way we can differentiate instruction to meet the needs of ALL children so they can build the confidence and life skills that are so necessary for their future.

Email will be my primary means of communication to you and your families. Google Classroom will be our Learning Management System of choice. Please go to your child's Google Classroom page to find any assignments they are currently working on.
