Westward Expansion Paintings

This exhibit, Westward Expansion from an 8th-Grade Perspective, challenged students to incorporate their photography into a watercolor painting. Teachers wanted to push students to synthesize their learnings about Westward Expansion as well as incorporate photography and visual literacy strategies into these works. The end products displayed in this virtual gallery showcase student paintings and a link to the artists statements. Enjoy this visual journey!
