Joining the military is another path high school graduates can take. The military provides many benefits - like college tuition assistance, job training, and a salary. Each of the five branches has their own recruiters and recruiting process. If you would like more information stop by the counseling office or reach out directly to a recruiter.

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a test that the military uses to help determine which jobs you can do for the military. Simply put, the higher you score the more jobs you are able to choose from. 

The ASVAB can also be used to meet the 2021 Colorado college/career readiness requirements if a student scores above a 31 on both English and math. There are plenty of free ASVAB practice tests online that you can find to help study. A good starting point is:

Students who complete the ASVAB are not required to join the military
