You will be researching a problem in Africa by choosing an approved NGO (non-governmental organization) that helps people in the Eastern Hemisphere.
Your task will be to perform research on the problem, the solution and find evidence to help you write a persuasive speech on why people should support your NGO.
Your speech will present the problem, explain the solution, and then conclude with asking people to donate to your cause.
You will be expected to use the following quality resources:
One Database source - Jeffco Public Library has many helpful databases. World Book Online, Scholastic Go!, and Global Issues in Context are all excellent sources to use with this project.
Three (3) of your notecards will come from the website of your NGO.
You are required to have six notecards complete to achieve a B on this project on your research template which is shared with your via Google classroom.
Citations for all sources will be done through the Google Docs Citation Tool. Detailed instructions can be found on the Research Help page of this site.
