8th-grade students participated in the national Hamilton Education Program sponsored by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. The program affords students the opportunity to explore the Founding Era of American history through the people, events, and key documents that shaped the time. Students had the chance to work individually or in groups of no more than three to produce a performance piece telling the story of this era. This project required significant research of primary sources from the era. In addition, students had to work diligently to use their research to write a historically accurate performance piece. As you explore student projects, do examine their research and writing. This will help you understand the amount of work students did to produce their final work. Enjoy the projects!
These student performances will be entered into the national Hamilton Education competition!!
These student performances represent our whole 8th-grade class. Enjoy their presentations.
