Hello! I'm thrilled to be joining the 4th grade team here to Bergen Elementary, and can't wait for all the learning we will be doing together this year! While I have experience with many age levels, from kinder through eighth grade, I have always found fourth grade to be an exciting combination of earnest yet independent learners, and I love having the opportunity to guide young minds at this exciting time.
My family moved to Colorado almost five years ago and have loved finding our place in the amazing community of Evergreen. When not in the classroom, I enjoy hiking, skiing, camping, and playing with our toddler and two dogs. With a background in dance and fitness, it is very important to me to not only continue to grow our minds in learning, but our bodies in movement as well.
My goal this year is to be our students' greatest teammate, working together to discover their ideal learning styles, productive struggles, and celebrating with them in the success of their hard work.
Hi! I’m so excited to be continuing my journey in 4th grade at Bergen Elementary! Building relationships with my students and creating a classroom where every child feels known, valued, and supported is one of my favorite parts of teaching. I want my students to become confident, independent problem solvers and thinkers who aren’t afraid to ask questions, take risks, make mistakes, and try again.
After many years of teaching in Indiana, my family and I are loving our Colorado adventure! Outside of school, you’ll usually find me enjoying a hike, camping with my family, catching a concert at Red Rocks, or finding an excuse to be outside. I’m looking forward to another year of learning, growing, laughing, and making great memories together!
Hello! I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. I've enjoyed teaching many different grade levels since 2011, and joined the Bergen community in 2020. We have a lot of fun learning to look forward to this year, as well as activities to strengthen our classroom community.
In our classroom, I love to share the joy of learning with my students, and help them feel confident in themselves. Getting to know my students is my favorite part of every school year. Outside of school, you can find me hiking with my dogs Sydney and Nova, mountain biking, knitting, or helping out at Outbound Mountain Gear, our family's business in downtown Evergreen.
My goal is to help your child reach their full potential, and to make school an enjoyable and successful experience for everyone. Please feel free to reach out anytime with questions, concerns, or ideas.
I am so excited to be student teaching in your child’s 4th grade classroom this year! I’m looking forward to learning and growing alongside the students as I finish my Masters in Elementary Education at the end of the fall semester.
I started college wanting to be a doctor, so I got my undergraduate degree in biology in physics. After I graduated I worked as a camp director, which is where I fell in love with working in education!
My favorite part of being in the classroom is getting to build relationships with all of the students. Outside of the classroom, you’ll find me skiing, hiking with my dog Goose, or at home with a needlepoint project!
