MRS. PETERSON

I am going to start off by saying how excited I am to be at Green Gables for my eleventh year! I have been teaching in Jeffco for 20 years and am actually a Jeffco student myself. I attended the University of Northern Colorado for my undergraduate degree in teaching. After that I attended CU Denver and received my Masters in ESL.
On a personal note, I have been married for 18 years and have two kids with my husband Matt. We are the biggest Colorado Mammoth lacrosse fans you will ever meet. I am also very into Broncos football and pretty much any sport. Gavin is very active in his club and high school lacrosse teams. Taytum was a performer in the Colorado Children's Chorale and got to travel internationally to sing and is now using her talents in high school advanced choir and theater.
I am lucky to have my own kids and get to share in supporting their passions, but I would also like to share in your child's passions. My "why" is to be here to support every child in and outside of school. I want every child to feel loved, safe and confident. By supporting their passions, I hope they are driven to do better today than they did yesterday!
Mr. Turner
Hello! My name is Paul Turner and I am so excited to work with your student this year! We have so much to look forward to this year - I can hardly wait! We have such a wonderful journey ahead of us, full of opportunities to explore, grow, and learn alongside each other. There are a variety of ways to contact me but my preferred method is email. I am thrilled to be starting my eleventh year as part of the wonderful staff here at Green Gables. I have a passion for teaching and look forward to digging into our third grade content.
I was born in Washington State but moved to colorful Colorado when I was seven and instantly fell in love with the state. I have been here ever since. I went to high school in Littleton and have spent my life in the Denver Metro Area. I have a love for the outdoors and I achieved my Eagle Scout Rank in Boy Scouts. Along with my love of being outdoors I love spending time on the golf course and at sporting events! I have my BA from Colorado Christian University in Elementary Education and my masters from Regis University. Over the summer I enjoyed spending quality time with my 3 year old son Ezra, my newborn daughter, Reese, our dog named Murphy and wife Kelsey as we enjoyed the Colorado summer!
I currently live in Littleton, and love the Southern Gables area. I enjoy reading, golf, movies, traveling and spending time with my family. I'm also addicted to any and all coffee. I hope that everyone had a fantastic summer, made some wonderful memories, and is ready to dive into our learning journey! I look forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you better.
Sincerely,
Paul Turner
