Mindfulness

Mrs. Jenkins, our social worker, presented a problem to our first graders. She told us that throughout the school, students are having a hard time collaborating in a group. She asked us to help her create something the whole school can use to work together respectfully.

First grade came up with the following rules to be an engaged teammate:

1. Help Each Other

2. Listen

3. Be Respectful

4. Problem Solve

We are creating posters that will be hung around the school. Students will also present their rules to Mrs. Jenkins, Mrs. McDougal, Ms. Peters, and 6th grade members of the mindfulness committee next week.
