Resetting for a New Semester

Moodle courses will need to be reset for the new semester.
- If you need additional Moodle courses, email Chad Kennelly or Wendy Quam.
Please be mindful not to reset the "teacher" role in the course, or else you will bounce yourself out of your own course. (If this happens, send an email to Chad or Wendy with your name and course title to be re-added.)
Moodle guides are available on the Moodle Guides course under Categories > Professional Development > Moodle Guides (the keycode is: moodle)

Gradebooks will need to be checked to be sure they are set up for the new semester.

Showbie classes will need to be deleted or archived and new classes will need to be set up. You can:
- Copy the class from semester 1 to a new class for semester 2, then archive the semester 1 class, OR
- Delete the class and start fresh with new classes

Quick Steps for Showbie:

Copy over class items
- Click/tap on your class name
- Choose the Wrench > Class Settings > Copy Class – this will make a copy of the class that you can then rename. It will pull over the assignments and any shared folder files.
Delete classes
- Click/Tap on your class name
- Tap the Wrench, then choose Class Settings > Archive Class > Delete Class (this cannot be un-done)
Students can remove themselves from last semester’s Showbie classes
- Tap on their profile (circle at top)
- Choose Edit > My Classes > [Class Name] > Leave Class
