The Dick Washburn Middle School Statewide Cross-Country Meet will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at Ankeny Centennial High School. This is a fast, flat course and an opportunity to compete with runners from around the state. It is always a great way to wrap up the season with your Sole Sisters, and we have a tradition of success - in 2022 we won 2nd place for 8th grade & 1st place for 7th grade!
This meet is considered a non-school event and it costs $11-12 to participate. Coach Buckley will register all participants who fill out the Google Form below as a group. Anyone can run at State (no qualifiers) and any Dragons with financial concerns can email Coach Buckley.
Race Details:
10:30 am – 7th Grade Class 4A Girls
10:55 am – 8th Grade Class 4A Girls
We will have a camp set up from 9:00am-12:00pm.
Parents: please fill out this Google Form (Link) by midnight on Sunday, October 1st to let me know that your runner is available to participate. Email Coach Buckley if you missed that date, all entries are due by 10/9. **I will register the runners, and I will send out a roster to confirm before I officially register everyone.
Transportation: The school doesn’t provide a bus to this event, but we can definitely arrange a carpool scenario for anyone who needs a ride to and/or from. Parking is $5/car. Email Coach Buckley if you need help facilitating a ride.
