For a bit of background, I started off the year thinking I'd be studying the impact of a significant injury on the psychology of athletes. Oddly enough, a week after coming up with this idea, I tore my ACL. From there, I bounced around within the realm of mental health in athletics and finally ended with the research question of "How can we cultivate good mental health practices in the JD Athletic community". Please see the "Final Project Tab" and watch the video to watch my project presentation. Some community experts that helped me throughout the process were:
Brandon Hall- head football athletic trainer at Syracuse
Kelly Pieper, former UB sports psychologist
CJ Hart: Co-founder of The Head Game Project at St. Anselm College
Jeff Ike: Coach at JDHS and my teacher mentor
Pat Patchen: JDYAA director
Tracy Parker: JDYAA director
