Getting art supplies

into the homes of teenagers

My project idea came from my love of art and talking with an art teacher that works hard to provide both in school and out of school access to supplies. I asked how I could help him in his goal of fostering creativity in those teenagers who live in struggling financial situations.

The best way to inspire creativity and foster artistic talents is to make art accessible. My project began with collecting new or lightly used art supplies that I then worked with Eric Williams, an art teacher at Fowler/PSLA to help with distributing the art supplies that was donated to those who could use it.
