Techies 

⭐ Hi! I'm Alyssa Forgione, senior at Jamesville-Dewitt High School (Class of 2025) and resident Light Board Operator! My project is called Techies, a short video series dedicated to educating viewers about the work and people behind the JDHS Stage Crew. I've decided to make my project focus on being part of our school's crew because it's a side of the arts that not many people see. I've been working with my research question, "in what ways does the role of the stage crew contribute to the success of high school musicals, and how is their work perceived and valued within the school community?"

⭐ Dr. Brian Rieger has worked with me on developing my project. He is the Technical Director for the musical here at JD, as well as a lighting designer for various other theaters and productions when the opportunites arise. I also met with Caitlin Friedberg, a Stage Manager at the Redhouse Theater here in Syracuse.
