We can't wait to see all of the fun and creative ideas our students come up with dressing in dots. We will be crowning two best-dressed students on this day!  Administration will be judging and there will be prizes for the winners!! 

If your student is currently enrolled in the Free and Reduced Meals Program and receiving benefits, make sure to resubmit your application by 9/12 to avoid any disruption to your benefits. Attendance

Regular and punctual attendance is essential if students are to receive the maximum benefits from our instructional program. We love seeing your children at school, so please make an effort to be here ALL DAY, EVERY DAY! Our instructional day begins at 7:40 A.M. Any students who arrive after that time need to be accompanied to the office and signed in by a parent or guardian. School dismisses at 2:35 P.M.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found items are placed on the front porch every Friday.  Any items in left in lost and found will be donated at the beginning of each month.

WJES Local School Council

Join the West Jackson Elementary Local School Council!

We are excited to invite parents and community members to be part of the WJES Local School Council. We are seeking 3 parents and 3 community members who are passionate about contributing to the success of our school. The council will also include 3 teachers and our principal, Mrs. King.

As a council member, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the following topics and provide valuable  input:

The West Jackson School Council will meet: 

Sept 25 at 8:15 - 9:15 am in the media center at WJES 

Nov. 8 at 8:15 - 9:15 am in the media center at WJES 

Jan. 15 at at 4:30 pm at JCHS for a combined westside school council meeting in the JCHS staff dev. room  

Mar 26 from 3:15 - 4:15 pm in the media center at WJES

STEAM

Our future entomologists in 2nd grade participated in the Great Southeastern Pollinator Census August 24th collecting valuable data about pollinator activity in our school gardens!  We always look forward to this fantastic citizen science project every year as it informs ourselves and others about the health of our ecosystem and the importance of ALL pollinators!  Great job, 2nd grade!

Parent Square -Notification helpful information
