Graduation from high school is an important event in the lives of students, parents, and families. It is an opportunity to celebrate the educational accomplishments of students. The graduation ceremony is designed to provide memories and impressions that will last a lifetime. We need your assistance to ensure your student’s graduation ceremony is conducted in a dignified manner.
The faculty and staff of your student's school have spent significant time planning and organizing the graduation ceremony. All graduation participants and attendees must conduct themselves politely and courteously. The graduation ceremony is a special event and requires all attendees to be on their best behavior. To ensure our school’s graduation is conducted in a dignified fashion, we expect students and parents to adhere to the following:
DO NOT bring balloons, beach balls, Fat heads, or any other item that could block or impede the view of others
DO NOT bring cowbells, air horns, or any other disruptive noise-making devices as they prevent each name from being heard
Please remember that this is a formal ceremony, not a sporting event and we ask that everyone be respectful of the occasion.
We request that all students, parents, and guests conduct themselves in a respectful manner. Students and attendees may be removed from the graduation ceremony if their behavior or conduct is inappropriate and disruptive.
Please no coolers. Water and soda will be available for purchase.
Graduates will recess off of the field. Graduates MUST immediately pick-up their diploma before meeting their families at their pre-determined locations.
No one will enter the field until the graduates, faculty, and dignitaries have exited the field. This rule will be strictly enforced for the safety of graduates and guests. Graduates will meet their families after picking up their diplomas.
Please have a plan on where to meet your graduate after they pick up their diploma. Graduates will not have their phones, so a planned meeting place is necessary. We have many spots on campus to meet your senior; front lawn, in front of aux gym, band practice field, visitors concession stand, car rider loop drop-off etc.
Please share this information with any family or friends who plan to attend the graduation ceremony to ensure that our graduates and guests have the most enjoyable day possible.
