FAQ's & How To's
What is the diffence in fireplaces you offer?
Fireplaces come in many shapes and sizes. Here is a quick breakdown on what we offer and their use case.
Gas Fireplace - Generally used in a new structure or new construction use. Many shapes and sizes to choose from.
Gas Insert - In the case of having a pre-existing masonry fireplace, these styles of units slide into an existing space.
Gas Log Set - Have a masonry fireplace, but you want something a bit more convenient than burning logs. Very cost friendly product.
Stove - There are many use cases for this style of fireplace. Available in a traditional look or modern style as well as gas or wood burning.
Electric - Versatile and easy to install. Linear or more traditional square in shape. Provides some heat, much like a space heater.
Wood Inserts - Useful for when you want to burn wood, but want something more efficient. Great option for when a chimney fails inspection.
Wood Fireplace - New construction or remodel (in some cases). Traditional look and feel.
What is the process of getting a new fireplace, log set, grill, etc?
Our sales team is well studied and ready to help you through this process. It would begin with you letting us know the project at hand by either calling in or coming over to our showroom. From there we would take down some contact information, notes on the project in mind, as well as some likes and dislikes we discuss during our meeting or phone call. From there, our salesman would, in most cases, come out to take measurements for accuracy, then draft up a quote, and send that to you. Once that quote is approved, we would ask for deposit of half of the balance. We will then order the needed materials and schedule an installation with you once we know when we will have everything needed. The timeline of this process varies based on the potential of back orders and shipping delays as well as the level of business we are experiencing at that time. We would recommend looking into your fireplace project in the spring/summer as that is normally a little bit of a slower time for us, which could potentially allow us to get your project done a bit quicker, thus having your fireplace ready by the burn season!

How often should I get my fireplace serviced for preventative maintenance?
What is done to the fireplace during this time?
It is recommended to have your fireplace serviced at least every two years. Some customers prefer to have preventative maintenance every year to be sure there are no hiccups with their unit for the burn season.
During a preventative maintenance service call our technician will do tasks such as clean the logs, reassemble them to manufacturers specifications, clean and test the burners, clean the glass, replace embers as needed, and go over any concerns you may have with your fireplace.
Can you service/repair my fireplace?
This depends on which fireplace you have. While we do work with many brands of fireplaces, there are also some we do not. This is mostly because we are unable to get parts for those units. In some cases we would gladly help. Unless it is a pellet stove, we stay clear of those.
Feel free to fill out this form with as much information as you can and our service team will reach out and schedule an appointment with you as soon as possible. Depending on the season, we may get pretty back logged. Our busiest service and repair season would be the colder months of the year. During this time we ask for your patience as it may take up to 2 weeks to call and schedule an appointment.
My remote won't turn on my fireplace. What should I do?
The first step to a resolution would be to change batteries. Depending on your fireplace and remote system, there may be batteries in multiple locations. Your manual would be a great resource for these locations. Be sure to replace all batteries at the same time in the remote and receiver box. Your remote may also need to go through a relearning process.
My chimney failed an inspection. What are my options?
This type of issue comes our way a lot, and you are not out of luck. This is where the installation of an insert comes in handy. These units rely on their own venting, which is run up through the existing chase, allowing you to still enjoy your fireplace safely.
Contact us or swing by the showroom to discuss your options and get back to enjoying your fireplace again!
