Ingredients: A few old coins, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1 teaspoon salt, non-metal bowl, paper towels

Instructions: Pour the vinegar into the bowl, add the salt and mix. Put the coins into the bowl and count to 10 slowly. Take out the coins and rinse them in water. Shiny!!

Ingredients: Decor Sand, Corn Starch, Vegetable oil, mixing bowl

Instructions: The ratios are 5 parts sand, to 3 parts cornstarch and 1 part oil, depending on how much you want to make. Combine ingredients and voila! Kinetic Sand!!

Ingredients: 2 clear cups, 3 small tealight candles, matches/lighter, baking soda, vinegar

Instructions: Light the candles, in one clear cup add some baking soda, slowly pour in vinegar, colorless carbon dioxide forms, pour the "gas" created into the 2nd clear cup, use the "gas" douse the flames.

Ingredients/Supplies: Frixion Pen, regular ink pen, piece of paper, heat source (blowdryer, lighter, iron, etc)

Instructions: Using the piece of paper of the regular ink pen, write the message you want for students to have. Next, switch to the Frixion Pen and disguise your message by changing the letters, writing letters around your message, etc. Use the heat source behind the paper to gently heat the paper and burn away the Frixion Pen ink. Voila! Message revealed.

Ingredients: hard-boiled egg, glass bottle with wider mouth (should not be bigger than the egg but close in size), small piece of newspaper, lighter/matches, water

Instructions: The goal is to get the egg into the bottle using only the air pressure. Place a piece of newspaper that has been lit in the glass bottle. Place the hard-boiled egg on top of the glass bottle and wait for the magic to happen. Very quickly, the air pressure outside will push the egg into the bottle. How do you get it out? Ingredients/Supplies: white envelope, brown envelope, white sheet of paper, black felt tip marker, cardboard tube (paper towel or toilet tissue).

Instructions: Write a 3 letter word in large letters on the white sheet of paper. Put this piece of paper in the brown envelope and put the brown envelope in the white envelope. Use the cardboard tube to view the contents of the envelope while holding the envelope up to a light source (sun, lamp, flashlight, etc).

Ingredients/Supplies: Empty water bottle, cup of water, dish to catch spilling water, laser light, scissors or something that can puncture the bottle.

Instructions: Use the sharp object to make a small hole in the water bottle. Put the bottle standing up in the dish and fill with water. You'll notice the water begins to come out of the small hole you made. Turn off the lights and shine the laser directly opposite the hole on the bottle, as if you were shining the light through the hole. The light will run through the water and appear to bend.

Ingredients: Black Pepper, bowl of water, dish soap.

Instructions: Sprinkle pepper in the bowl of water. Place a small amount of dish soap on your finger and lightly touch the water in the center of the bowl. The pepper will redistribute around the edge of the bowl, seeming to run away from the center. Why? As the soap moves into the water, and the surface tension changes, the pepper no longer floats on top

Ingredients/Supplies: matches, piece of paper, coin

Instructions: Balance 3 matches on top of the piece of paper with one match resting on a coin. Challenge someone to remove the coin without disturbing the matches. They won't be able to. Light the match on the coin about half way down the match. As it sparks and lights, it will magically lift up and allow the coin to be removed. Physics!

Ingredients/Supplies: Raw egg, Distilled malt vinegar, container

Instructions: Place the egg in the container and cover with the vinegar. Let it sit for 24 hours. The vinegar will eat away at the egg shell leaving only the membrane behind. Ingredients/Supplies: Borax Powder, pipe cleaners, heat proof glass pot, measuring spoon, scissors, thick thread, food coloring (gel), pencil or skewer

Instructions: Make a loose, coil form with the pipe cleaner. Tie a piece of string to the pipe cleaner and tie the other end to a pencil or skewer. Fill the glass pot with 2-2.5 liters of water and bring to a boil. Add Borax powder until no more will dissolve. While the water is still hot, dunk the pipe cleaner form into the liquid and suspend over the top of the pot with the pencil/skewer, keeping the pipe cleaner form in the liquid. Cover the top of the glass pot with something, an old calendar, lid, etc. Let soak overnight. Voila!! Crystals!!
