Homework
Each week a spelling list will be sent home to practice for our spelling test on Fridays. We will also send homework to practice the current skills we are learning. This is optional and for extra practice as you feel your student needs it.
Grades
Students will be given 2 days to make up failed classroom assignments and 4 days to prepare for and retake an assessment for a maximum score of a 70
Late work:
1 day late- maximum grade of 90
2 days late- maximum grade of 80
3 days late- maximum grade of 70
4 days late- maximum grade of 70 and parent must attend a conference with teacher or a 50 can be given for all missing assignments
You can access your students grades through the parent portal. The parent portal is on the school website under Parent/Community.
Birthdays
If you would like to provide cupcakes for your child’s birthday, we will eat them during our snack time. Even if you students birthday falls on the weekend and they would like to celebrate on the closest day.
Lunch/Snacks
Lunch: Students are able to use the microwaves to warm up their lunches. If a parent would like to each lunch with their student there will be a designated table.
Snack: Please send a healthy snack and water with your student.
