LBJ Elementary
5th Grade ELAR/Social studies Teacher
Howdy!! I am so happy that I will get to teach your kiddo this school year for their last year in elementary school! I grew up in a small town right outside of Corpus Christi and went to college at A&M in College Station and then finished my degree at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. My husband is at LBJ High School as a science teacher/football and baseball coach. We have three boys, Matt (7th grade), Austin (5th grade), and Brooks (1st grade), who all go to school here in Johnson City. This will be my 2nd year here at LBJ Elementary! I have been teaching for 13 years and have taught Kinder, 1st grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. I have such a strong love for reading and writing, and I can't wait to share that passion with your kiddo this school year!

*My daily conference time is from 8:05-9:05
Arrival:
Students are dropped off in the car line in the mornings beginning at 7:35. Doors will not be opened prior to 7:35 as staff are not on duty until then. At 7:35 Mrs. Lancaster and Mrs. Guthrie will come out and open car doors. There is only one line for morning drop off for safety reasons.
Dismissal:
Students will be dismissed at 3:40. There are two lanes in the car line for dismissal. You may choose either line but once you enter a line we ask that you do not swap lines. We are entering students' names into a list based on these lines and it slows down the whole line if they get moved around due to lane changes. Students who are walking or walking with a parent will be dismissed after the busses are gone from the side of the school building where the bus lane is.
Behavior Expectations:
Throughout LBJE all students will be expected to follow our S.O.A.R. expectations. In the link below it includes what the Safe, Opportunities, Accountable, and Respectful behaviors look like in different locations around the campus.
