The Jac-Cen-Del Music Department has been around since 1961 when the school opened through the consolidation of Osgood and Napoleon High Schools. The Music Department is comprised of 2 primary groups: Band and Choir. The department as a whole has been recognized as a major part of the school's history and pride. We strive towards the success of every student involved to provide a safe and welcoming environment. We represent our school, community, and state through everything we do and we wish everybody the best.
The Jac-Cen-Del Band has a very rich history of performances all across the nation. From local performances such as the Osgood Bricktoberfest and the Versailles Pumpkin Show, to nationally recognized parades such as the Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade and the Walt Disney World Electric Light Parade. Every year the Band performs in over 20 events, such as concerts, events, parades, and basketball games. The band is a source of energy and pride at Basketball Games and Pep sessions throughout the school year and is the largest organization in the school. We are proud of our success and look towards a future of continued growth and prosperity as an organization and ensemble.
Our band program is comprised of 4 different ensembles: High School Band, Junior High Band, 6th Grade Band, and 5th Grade Band. All ensembles are directed by Mr. Cameron Papandria.
The Jac-Cen-Del Choir is a dedicated, hardworking group of students with a rich portfolio of performances across the county, state, Midwest, and nation. From the Napoleon Christmas Tree Lighting, to the national anthem at various sporting events, to the Fairfield Crystal Classic, to performances with the Young Americans, the choral program is a rapidly growing program at Jac-Cen-Del.
The choral program contains 2 separate ensembles: Beginning Choir and Advanced Choir and are open to any student who has a passion for singing. These ensembles are also directed by Mr. Cameron Papandria.
Mr. Cameron Papandria is going into his second year at Jac-Cen-Del. He is a 2019 graduate of Miami University where he studied Music Education. He studied under Dr. Jeremy Long, Dr. Brian Meyers, and Mr. Gary Speck. He has enjoyed his time at Jac-Cen-Del, introducing new teaching techniques and interesting performance opportunities to the ensembles, such as the Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade and the Orleans Pep Band Invitational. On top of teaching all band and choir classes, he also teaches Music Appreciation, Music Theory, and 7th Grade General Music. He has a deep passion for music and is excited to continue to take the Music Department to the next level.
