In Room 206, our first graders are enhancing their reading stamina through partnered activities with a reading buddy.
4th Grade Meet and Greet
To celebrate the start of the new school year, our fourth graders participated in a delightful meet-and-greet event at Hamilton Park. Students engaged in a Buddy Scavenger Hunt, seeking peers who matched specific descriptions. This activity not only fostered new friendships but also created lasting memories for our fourth-grade class. We are excited to embark on this promising school year together!
5th Grade Exploration
Students collaborated in small groups to design and construct the tallest and most stable tower using limited materials. This not only encouraged teamwork but also fostered creativity and critical thinking skills.
Additionally, the students explored the concept of ecosystem health by discussing how to create a balanced pond environment for fish. They examined the importance of maintaining appropriate levels of carbon dioxide and essential nutrients within the pond ecosystem.
To conclude the month’s exploration of ecosystems, the students also engaged in creating food chains and food webs, specifically focusing on the fascinating world of dinosaurs. This activity helped them understand the intricate relationships within an ecosystem and the flow of energy.
C.A.S.P.E.R. Recreation engaged Pre-K through 1st grade students in practicing various yoga poses.
On Friday, September 6, 2024, our scholars enthusiastically celebrated National Read a Book Day!
Parents, community, faculty and students are "all in" to achieve mission possible.
