Have you been good this year? Oh, I know you have and don't worry Santa ๐ does, too! ๐ ๐
The Technology Department has a couple updates to share. First, we will be moving to a new helpdesk system in January, Incident IQ. More information will come when we return from break. This application is much more robust than our current system plus it integrates with Infinite Campus and ClassLink...and as an added bonus, it has a mobile app so you can submit a ticket from your phone! And even better, we can process tickets from our phones! Yay!
The second update is that we now have a SSO app set up in ClassLink for both staff and students. As we work to make our data more secure, the issue with students using their GTIDs as their portal account passwords has to change. Instead of creating another situation where they would need to create their own passwords, we felt like it was a better solution to work with ClassLink to set up the SSO app. I'll be sending out some detailed information along with a tutorial video so keep an eye out.
On behalf of the Jasper Co Technology Department, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!ย
As part of our license with NetRef, the parent company, Linewize, has provided us with a online safety hub. There is a section "For Parents" and a section "For Staff", see links in the top right corner. Click on the link below to check it out then share it with your parents!
As as added bonus, click on the Parental Control App in the top navigation then on Qustodio Parental Control App to learn more about this free app for parents.
Updating your device is akin to protecting your password or monitoring your online profile. If you let your device or browser get behind in updates, the functionality and safety is compromised. Ever had an issue with Infinite Campus not working properly? That could be due to either a browser update or a Windows update. As applications update their software, the compatibility with browser and operating system versions change.

Give the gift that keeps on giving! ๐ I have a Rocketbook for notes, mainly because I am not a paper person...save the trees and all that :). I love it because I can take notes, transcribe to Google or scan and upload as a PDF. Then, I use a damp cloth to erase the whole page and use it again and again. This set, linked below, is currently on sale on the Rocketbook site and who doesn't love a deal! ๐
Use this reference list to access resources for instructional apps. Lots of info hear and more being added. ๐
