Your chromebook charger
Wired Headphones (if you have them)
A pen and a pencil
1 Pack of Chalk Markers
Colored Pencils
Something to take notes in or on (notebook, binder of paper, etc.)
Somewhere to keep important papers (folder, pocket in binder, etc.)
Anything personal you need to succeed (planner, sticky notes, highlighter, etc.)
Dress Code in the Lab
During lab investigations, students will be required to dress in accordance with the following safety protocols to ensure both their safety, and the safety of their classmates.
1. Students may be required to wear safety glasses, a protective apron, gloves, or other personal protective equipment during a lab. This equipment will be provided for the student during class.
2. Long hair must be tied back to prevent it from coming into contact with a chemical or open flame.
3. Students should wear closed-toe shoes to protect their feet from splashes or spills.
4. Hanging jewelry must be secured so it does not interfere with the lab and does not risk entanglement with lab equipment or exposure to lab chemicals.
5. Students should wear clothing that is not excessively loose or baggy to prevent catching on lab equipment.
6. Students should wear pants that cover their legs to protect them from potential spills or splashes.
If a student or parent has any questions or concerns about these lab protocols, please bring them to my attention via email.
