Please continue to check website for adjustments to plans as we work to meet our student needs and follow state guidelines.
Students will join the Google Meet session at the instructed time on the schedule. There will be a live online facilitator who can answer any questions your student may have and engage with instructional conversations during this time. Below are some suggestions of instructional activities your student can do to stay on pace with their classroom peers during this time.
Check your campus teachers Google Classroom to see if there are any assignments or activities you can also do while you are at home. Feel free to email your teacher and interact with your class through your Google Classroom.
Check with your campus teachers to obtain missing work while students are out. Teachers are working with the campus front offices to put together packets and learning to support continued learning.
Work with your campus librarian to access books. Read books you have checked out or access the online options to find a new great title. Reading is a great way to continue to learn and build new vocabulary. Try reading out loud, reading silently, and telling someone about what you read.

Give your child a blank journal or staple some pages together and ask them to write and illustrate a story. For students who are not writing yet, have them draw pictures and sound out words the best they can. This is great for the imagination and for developing writing skills. Here are some fun writing prompts you can use if they need help getting started: https://www.3plearning.com/blog/writing-prompts-for-kids/
Your student has access to multiple online platforms for learning. They have been working with their teachers on these platforms during the year. They are tools to continue to engage your student in content-specific learning. Check out these platforms utilizing Classlink and your student's sign-on.
