What are the expectations for students while schools are closed?
If a school district has closed school due to COVID-19, the Texas Education Agency will provide missed school day waivers for the closed days with the requirement that the school district provide educational supports for the off-campus education of all students. The school district must commit to supporting students instructionally while absent from school grounds.
The school district is responsible for providing necessary educational resources to a student’s parent/guardian and must also provide guidance on how the instruction is to be delivered to the student.
As part of the district's instructional continuity plan, Jarrell ISD teachers are providing weekly assignments to students using Google Apps for Education as well as resource packets that can be picked up at each campus. Teachers are incorporating a variety of online and offline resources and materials to ensure that students engage in different types of learning experiences.

Teachers will respond to parent and student requests withing 24 hours.
How will online and offline assignments be posted?
