Juvenile Arthritis Research is a charity making a difference to the lives of those affected by juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). We are a parent- and patient-led charity with direct experience of JIA and rely on the support of our volunteers. JIA is an autoimmune condition where the body attacks the joints causing inflammation, pain and reduced mobility.
Our vision is a world where no child has to suffer from arthritis.
We provide support to children, young people and adults affected by JIA, and their families; we raise awareness that children and young people get arthritis; we support research and quality improvement projects to make life better for people with JIA; and we advocate for all those affected by JIA. We rely entirely on fundraising and donations to support our vital work.
