Support our vital work
Since Juvenile Arthritis Research was created in 2018, we have grown considerably. We now support thousands of people all over the country. We provide hundreds of physical Little Box Of Hope packs, school toolkits, clinical resource packs and more every year. We work with researchers, clinicians and other healthcare providers globally. We raise awareness that children and young people get arthritis, and provide the information and tools to help families get a diagnosis. We help GPs and other primary care professionals understand Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) and know how and when to refer to specialists. We run the unique JIA VIP Research Panel, enabling researchers to connect with families for their projects. We support patient involvement in research and quality improvement projects, and have placed dozens of patients and family members into active research projects.
We are the only UK-wide charity focusing solely on JIA.
Because of our growth, we are having to make some changes behind the scenes. We are now a 'Charitable Incorporated Organisation' (or CIO). That's still a charity, but with a slightly different structure behind us. We are still registered with the Charity Commission. The only big change is our charity number - our new number is 1219440.
It will take a little while to change our number on everything, so please bear with us as we update resources, webpages and other links.
We're proud of all we have achieved so far, and what we have done. We know there is still much to do, and we're looking forward to the next chapter in our story. Thank you for being part of who we are and what we do.
