Some examples of what you've been doing for JAM JAR...

Sophia did a talk at school about what it's like having JIA.

Rachel held a bake sale in her workplace to raise funds for Juvenile Arthritis Research.

Kyle held an awareness day and cake sale at his college.

Eilean had a stand at university to raise awareness that children and young people get arthritis too.

Because one day is never enough.

You may have heard of WORD day (World yOung Rheumatic Diseases day) which happens every year on 18th March. It’s the biggest single date in the global calendar for raising awareness that children and young people get rheumatic diseases such as Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA).

Here at Juvenile Arthritis Research, we’ve been huge supporters of WORD day since it began. We are WORD day Ambassadors and part of the international organising committee. Each year we’ve led the way in raising awareness in the UK with our WORD day initiatives, and so WORD day will be incorporated into our JAM JAR activities in March.

Contact your local media/press and tell them about your fundraising event or activity and all about JIA. If the local media do include an article, please let us know! We can also give quotes and interviews on behalf of Juvenile Arthritis Research, so feel free to put journalists in touch with us.
Visit the JAR shop, buy an awareness-raising item of clothing, and wear it to your event or in your local area.
