Meet our Set Designer: Hatti Poff

Lincoln Elementary students have taken on a new role: set designers for our upcoming play The Strange Case of Professor Cosmo. Thanks to Mr. Miller, Lincoln’s art teacher, we’re learning all about set design in the real world. After reading a synopsis of the play, Mr. Miller challenged students to design their vision of the set. The winning entry would be the set for the play.

After looking over the many creative and exciting entries, Hatti Poff’s design was chosen as the best set. Hatti said, “I envisioned Professor Cosmos in a dark basement working on a machine that had dials and vents.” Mr. Miller had more to say about Hattie’s winning design, “It showed color overlapping, complete neatness, use of a light source, unique environment, and lots of details.” Learning about and experiencing the world of set designers is yet another example of student empowerment at Lincoln.
