Welcome to the LMC website! Here you will find many resources like tech tips, reading suggestions, and more.  As always if you have any questions, please stop in between classes or send Mr. Reese or Mrs. Leckey an email.

Request an ID:  Students can request an ID by completing this form.  Students can have one free ID printed per year.  Additional IDs cost $5.  Please allow one school day for ID to be printed and delivered to a teacher of your choice.  IDs printed for Rec Night will be delivered the day of the Rec Night.

STEAM:  The STEAM Center is in the heart of the LMC, but there are activities throughout the space. Explore what is available here. Most activities are available during book checkout times.

LMC: Explore the book collection using Destiny or Destiny Discover.  

Chromebooks:  This is the place to go to learn more about your Chromebook.

Flex: Mr. Reese hosts various activities during Flex throughout the year.  You can sign up through Edficiency.

Meet your Library Staff

Mr. Reese joined Franklin Middle School in 2016 as a sixth grade social studies teacher.  He began his professional career as a Marketing Account Executive for a high technology public relation firm in Boston.  In 2001, he moved back to Wisconsin to begin teaching.  He has taught a variety of subjects over the years before becoming the Innovation Specialist at Franklin Middle School in 2021.  In his time in this role, he has updated the LMC with a fresh new layout, added STEAM opportunities for students, modernized the book collection, and increased book checkouts to include all grade levels.  Mr. Reese is an avid baseball fan having visited 16 different stadiums and enjoys spending summers in Milwaukee with the Brewers.  He has a pug/chihuahua mix rescue dog, Iris.


Mrs. Leckey has been with the district since 2005 and is the Franklin LMC paraprofessional. She is from Green Bay and graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of South Dakota. After college she moved back home to Wisconsin to be closer to family.

Mrs. Leckey is married with 2 grown sons, Keegan and Duncan, who both graduated from the School District of Janesville. She has 4 cats and likes to spend time doing puzzles, hanging out with friends and family and watching cooking shows.
