HOW TO PREPARE

The JMTC Auditions are a ton of fun! We want to see you sing, dance, and act for these auditions! Here is how to get ready! 

1. Sign up on the Audition Form - Remember to upload your picture!!!

2. Know what song you would like to sing and make sure you practice it. You can sing acapella or you can bring a backing track with you. Pro Tip: Choose a song that also shows off your performance skills!

3. Choose a character from the script, turn on your acting skills and practice performing lines! Pro Tip: Take it slowly, no need to rush through reading the lines.

4. Get yourself ready to learn some choreography. On the day you will learn a short routine in a group to perform. Pro Tip: Smile and have fun even if you don’t get all the moves right.

5. Read the Audition Kit for additional info and to find out what it means to be a part of the Jamaica Musical Theatre Company!
