The Kyushu English Language Teaching Convention will be held on Sunday, 22 February, 2026, at Seinan University in Fukuoka. The Fukuoka Chapter of JALT will manage one of the presentation rooms. This is an opportunity for JALT members to share their classroom ideas and research, and gain constructive feedback. We are accepting submissions for 25-minute and 45-minute presentations. (Presenters should allow for at least 5-minutes discussion time within the overall time limit).
Submissions from members of any JALT chapter or SIG are welcome. Both classroom practice-oriented and research-oriented submissions are welcome, but the primary consideration in acceptance of submissions will be the relevance of the submission to classroom teaching and learning.
Submissions should include a 50-word short summary to be used in the conference handbook, plus an abstract of 150 to 250 words. The abstract should follow the following three-part structure:
Relevance/background: Briefly explain the background to your presentation and how it relates to developments in the field of language teaching and learning.
Procedure: Provide details of what you will present (for a classroom-practice oriented presentation) or how your study was conducted (for a research-oriented presentation).
Outcomes/results: Explain what the audience will learn (for a classroom-practice oriented presentation) or briefly summarize your important research results (for a research-oriented presentation).
Submissions should be made via Google form: https://forms.gle/JVcTpT4qxyHJ1yZs8
Any inquiries should be made to: fukuoka-program@jalt.org
Note: This call for presenters is only for Fukuoka JALT's room at the Kyushu ELT Convention 2026. To make a submission for the non-JALT part of the event, and to find general information, please see https://ltprofessionals.com/conventions/
