Exercise caution when you receive online messages or correspondence from unknown sources. Only enter passwords and personal information into secure, trusted sites.
Make profiles on social media sites private when you can, and be careful interacting with users you don't know personally.
Remember that anything you post, including photos and text, may be screenshotted, saved, and distributed without your knowledge or permission. Do not post anything that may have a negative impact on your future education and job prospects.
When in doubt about anything regarding online safety, please contact a trusted adult such as a teacher, parent, or your school librarian.
