Welcome to the Multicopter UAV College Level Competition! This thrilling event challenges students to showcase their engineering prowess, innovation, and teamwork in designing and piloting multicopter UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). Here's a short description and overview of the rules,
Each team can have a maximum of 5 members and 1 faculty mentor
UAVs must be multicopters with 4-6 rotors (Quadcopter or Hexacopter)
All UAVs must comply with safety regulations set by the competition organizers.
Participants must adhere to safety protocols during assembly, testing, and flight operations.
Competition Tasks
The complete Drone (including Battery and landing gear) should be of length minimum 40cm*40cm (L*B) and maximum 75cm*75cm (LxB) (Measured diagonally – motor shaft to shaft / Wheel Base of the Drone frame) and must weigh less than 3Kg.
Payload will be between 300 -500 grams with a dimension of 10 cm cuboid
Time will be given to the teams for charging their batteries at the completion of every stage.
Round 1 – Manual Piloting
Manual delivery of the payload in the given circuit. The field area would be approximately 100 m2
There are marked/specified regions/spots to take off and land the drone.
Hurdles will be placed at different locations in the circuit.
QR code will be place at the location of payload delivery
Round 2 – Autonomous Piloting
Autonomous delivery of the payload in the given location. Payload delivery has to made at the given GPS position
There are marked/specified regions/spots to take off and land the drone.
