Our PTO is comprised of four officers, a parent representative, a faculty representative and school principals. This composes our executive board, but many of our PTO functions depend on our family of volunteers! Visit the Jackson R2 Volunteer Information Page to learn more about becoming one of our valued volunteers.
Each year, we sponsor a variety of activities and events. Some examples are included below.
- Back to School Fun - This usually occurs in August, off campus to bring students and families back together after the summer break
- Quarterly Meetings - Held four times a year, these are our opportunity to touch base, plan and examine how we can better help our school
- Faculty and Staff Appreciation - Several times during the year, we provide lunch to our faculty and staff to let them know how valued they are
- Fall Fundraiser - Every fall, we partner with a local florist to sell mums and raise funds for our activities
- Spring Bingo and Auction - Each spring, we host a Bingo night with both silent and live auctions. Donations are made from many local businesses and each classroom makes a themed basket to donate.
- Play Day - During the last days of school, we go all out and organize a special day full of games, fun and school spirit! Though the activities change from year to year, we provide each student and faculty member with a shirt and plan an annual tug of war game between the classrooms at grade level. It's always a fun and exciting day!
- PBIS Support - We support North's pursuit of Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) goals. We purchase PBIS supplies and support the quarterly Positive Parties thrown for students who meet the PBIS standards that quarter. Learn more about PBIS here.
- Mark Twain Club - We provide pizza and drinks for the quarterly Mark Twain Club meetings
