Video Tutorials

Roger Shepard and Lynn Cooper studied the effects of mental images in relation to mental rotations and motions. The authors collected substantial quantitative data showing the cognitive connections and recall made using imagery with moving imagery (Shepard & Cooper, 1982). In a publication dated Februrary 2016, data showed You Tubes' monthly desktop visits outstripped the search giant, www.google.com by 5.3 per cent at the end of the 2015 year (McGoogan, 2016). In a more recent article dated July 29, 2017, research suggested almost 5 billion You tube videos are watched daily (Donchev, 2017). These facts support not only the careful educational research carried out by Shepard and Cooper, but the notion that a video search engine is widely recognized as a go to source for deepening understanding. With this research in mind, we seek to broaden understanding through the use of video tutorials.
