As someone who has been in the field for almost a decade, I have been honored to work with many a different individuals in many different scenarios and environments. I am able to listen to the details, and minutia of every day life, but also keen in seeing the big picture and working collaboratively with [all] interfacing systems for the betterment of you.
My background includes, working with individuals who experience(d)/identify as/been involved with the following system(s):
Foster care
Geriatric
Physical and cognitive disabilities
Re-entry (individuals re-entering communities from time incarcerated)
Special Education services
Substance Abuse (specifically opioids, and alcohol)
Victims, and families of victims of
The culmination of my professional and well as personal experience, have assisted in building the foundation for the clients that I now hope to work with. I understand that none of us live in a bubble, and I respect and treasure that you are truly the expert on yourself.
Whether it's by case management, consulting, educational advocacy, individual therapy, mentorship or supervision, the hope is that my joining #teamyou, will aide by building towards peace, and confidence to live your life authentically.
My decision to dedicate my time to serving others via therapy/supervision stems from my own life experiences, schooling, influence of others, and ultimately, my exposure to both (a) spirituality, and (b) injustices time and time again. The book that is life is very telling and informative. With this, I figuratively stretch open my mind and heart, to welcome those that are looking for a safe space to process and grow from topics that typically affect groups that identify such as myself; person of color, child of [undocumented] immigrant, first generation college student, survivor of abuse, parent of child with disability, etc.
When I am not working with clients, I can be found trying new restaurants with my hubby, devouring a new true crime podcast/show, enjoying a nieve de mango from my local paleteria with my kiddos, or listening to Antony Santos, Bad Bunny and Beyonce.
