JA BizTown curriculum provides 4-6th grade students with twelve self-guided online lessons to learn financial literacy, citizenship, and work and career readiness.
The self-guided JA BizTown curriculum ultimately leads to a culminating BizTown in a Box day, where students simulate a "town" within the walls of their own classroom. The BizTown In A Box day supports critical thinking skills and student engagement, and helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.
Teachers can also have their student's engage in BizTown Adventures Online Game, a different culminating experience which takes students through online "adventures" that help them experience the various aspects of running a business and handling community issues through the perspective of a citizen, community leader, and business owner.
Ideally, BizTown in a Box is for 4-5th grade, while the BizTown Adventures Online Game is for 4-6th grade.
