Hi there!
I am Mrs. Berkeley, your School Counselor. Thank you for visiting! Here at CAES, and now in the virtual world, it is my job to help students to understand and navigate their strong feelings, set and meet academic goals, and begin to explore future career interest. So basically, I help students to be the best they can be today and for the future. I want you to live your best life, and I am happy to help in any way I can. I care about you, and who you are right now as well as who you will become as you grow and learn new things.
Throughout the year, I provide students with opportunities to get involved in their school community. I hope you will join me for Kindness Week (Spring), Bully Prevention Month (Fall), Cardinals CARE Club (2nd & 3rd grades), Safety Patrol (3rd grade), and News Crew (3rd grade), and Military Connected Student Events. Those are just a few bigger events/ activities/ clubs students can get involved in. Stay tuned for information about the activities and events that might interest you. I love getting to know the students through their desire to spread kindness, build leadership skills, and make the world a better place.

Have you ever had really strong feelings, or felt out of control? Taking deep breaths can help. This video is calming and will help you to know you are not alone.
The Giving Tree is out in our front lobby AND outside of our main entrance this year for students to access.
WE WERE IN THE NEWS!!!!!!
2nd and 3rd graders practiced good citizenship in the CAES 2020 Mock Election
I borrowed this (with permission) from a fellow School Counselor. I love all the resources available. Check it out. I especially LOVE Slide 7. It is a virtual Bully Prevention book library. Just click on a book, and you will be sent to the book read aloud on YouTube. :)
