Welcome Ivy Tech Students!
Hello and welcome to the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Applied Sciences at Ivy Tech Bloomington!
If you like solving problems, working with your hands, building and designing things, or figuring out how systems work, you’re in the right place! Our programs are built to get you ready for real careers—whether you want to go straight into the workforce or transfer to a four-year college.
Here, you’ll learn by doing. You’ll get hands-on experience with the same tools and technology used in today’s industries, taught by instructors who’ve worked in the field and know what it takes to succeed. We work closely with employers in the community, so you’ll be learning the skills that are actually in demand.
Before I became Dean, I spent many years teaching and working with students who were preparing for careers in technical and applied fields, especially in Biology and Biotechnology. I’ve seen firsthand how an education from Ivy Tech can transform lives—and my faculty, staff, and I are passionate about helping students finding success in a path that’s right for them. You don’t need to have it all figured out yet. We’re here to support you as you explore your interests and take steps toward your goals—whether that means earning a certificate, associate degree, or just trying something new.
We’re excited to help you take your next step. Let’s build something great together!
