Geography
At Brimsdown, we follow the Rising Stars scheme of work which supports pupils to meet the National Curriculum end of key stage attainment targets. It provides clear progression year on year and allows children to practise the four key area of locational knowledge, place knowledge, human and physical geography and geographical skills and fieldwork. It inspires the children's curiosity and interest to want to learn more about their own locality and the wider world.
From starting points suitable for all, pupils develop the skills to tackle appropriate challenges in KS1 and KS2. In Geography we have key questions to encourage the use of geographical enquiry, as well as a focus on the acquisition and application of key subject knowledge, concepts and vocabulary throughout.
