About the University

The ICFAI University Tripura was established in 2004 through an Act of the State Legislature (Tripura Act 8 of 2004). The University Grants Commission has approved the University under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University campus based at Agartala is a lush green campus spread over 32 acres at Kamalghat Sadar, Tripura. It has over 6 lakhs sq. ft. of built-up area with academic blocks, workshops, laboratories, faculty rooms, auditorium, seminar halls, and computer labs with the latest computing facility, well-equipped library, canteen, sports and recreation facilities. The campus also provides the latest teaching aids and is Wi-Fi enabled. The University is widely recognized as an institution devoted to quality research and teaching. The University gives utmost importance to the Industry-University interface. The University believes in creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting, and publishing, and developing a new cadre of citizens with a high level of competence deep sense of ethics, and commitment to the code of professional conduct.

About the Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics started its journey in August 2016. It came a long way to present, promote, and nurture science in young minds. Currently, B. Sc. (Hons.), M. Sc. and Ph. D. courses are being offered in the department. The Department of Mathematics has highly qualified faculty members actively engaged in cutting-edge emerging research areas Students are also trained in prestigious institutions during their internship projects in the summer, and M. Sc. Projects are being conducted in active research areas in the Departmental facilities. Numerous seminars are held throughout the year to promote pedagogy and entrepreneurship.

COURSES OFFERED: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics, M. Sc. in Mathematics, and Ph. D. in Mathematics.
