Biosensor Using Integrated 1×2 Demultiplexer for Individual Lab-on-Chip Detection : Published in IEEE Sensors Journal (Q1)

March 8 : Our first 'Q1' article in 2024 has been published in 'IEEE Sensors Journal' (Q1,  IF: 4.325 , Cite Score: 7).

Our research article titled "A Novel Plasmonic MIM Sensor Using Integrated 1×2 Demultiplexer for Individual Lab-on-Chip Detection of Human Blood Group and Diabetes Level in the Visible to Near-Infrared Region", proposed an alternative method for sensing application to avoid cross-contamination.

 Magnetic field sensor  operating at sub-wavelength  scales : Published in Sensing and Bio-sensing Research

January 3 : Kickstarting 2024 with our first paper! What a fantastic way to launch into the new year!

Our research article titled "Numerical analysis of a metal-insulator-metal waveguide-integrated magnetic field sensor operating at sub-wavelength scales" has been published. In this research, we proposed a magnetic field sensor. It can be used for navigation, robotics, and advanced electromagnetic devices. The article is published in the 'Sensing and Bio-Sensing Research' journal (Q2, IF 5.3).

October 29:  Our paper entitled "Cog-shaped refractive index sensor embedded with gold nanorods for temperature sensing of multiple analytes" is currently trending at number one in daily downloads!

October 28:  Our paper entitled "Cog-shaped refractive index sensor embedded with gold nanorods for temperature sensing of multiple analytes" has been published in the OSA journal Optics Express (Impact factor: 3.894). In this paper, we theoretically propose a cog-shaped plasmonic sensor and the reported RI sensitivity is the highest to date in the literature utilizing gold. Moreover, the sensor demonstrates satisfactory temperature sensing capacity with five different analytes. Congratulations to Sharmeen and her team!

September 23:  Our paper entitled "Metal-insulator-metal waveguide-based optical pressure sensor embedded with arrays of silver nanorods" has been published in the OSA journal Optics Express (Impact factor: 3.894). In this paper, we theoretically propose a nanosized pressure sensor utilizing silver and MIM waveguide geometry and report maximum sensing capacity to date in the literature. September 09:  Our paper entitled "Alternative material titanium nitride based refractive index sensor embedded with defects: An emerging solution in sensing arena,"  has been published in the Elsevier journal Results in Physics (Impact factor: 4.476). In this paper, we elaborate on the problems associated with conventional plasmonic materials and then theoretically demonstrate titanium nitride as a promising solution for refractive index sensing.  Congratulations to Infiter and his team!

Biosensor: Published in Sensing and Bio-Sensing Research

July 21: Our paper entitled "Gas-Sensing and Label-free Detection of Biomaterials Employing Multiple Rings Structured Plasmonic Nanosensor," has been published in the Elsevier journal Sensing and Bio-Sensing Research (Scopus Indexed, Q1).  In this paper, we constructed a plasmonic nanostructure based three rings and deployed it for the sensing of blood molecules and DNA hybridization. May 21: Our paper entitled "Point of Care Detection of Blood Electrolytes and Glucose Utilizing Nano-Dot Enhanced Plasmonic Biosensor," has been published in the IEEE Sensors Journal (Impact Factor: 3.3, Q1).  In this paper, finding out loopholes in recent plasmonic bio-sensors we have demonstrated a RI sensor capable of detecting blood electrolytes and glucose. November 25: Our paper entitled “Numerical Investigation of an Optimized Plasmonic On-Chip Refractive Index Sensor for Temperature and Blood Group Detection”, has been published in the Elsevier Journal  Results in Physics (Impact Factor: 4.476, Q2).  In this paper, we have presented a lab-on-chip device capable of detecting blood groups (A, B, and O). November 25: Our paper entitled Highly sensitive refractive index sensor optimized for blood group sensing utilizing the Fano resonance," has been published in the Springer Journal Applied Nanoscience (Impact Factor: 3.674, Q2).  In this paper, employing previous empirical data we have developed a mathematical model of RI vs. wavelength for different blood groups.  Congratulations to Dr. Sagor and his team!

November 19:  Our paper titled “A Concentric Double-Ring Resonator Based Plasmonic Refractive Index Sensor with Glucose Sensing Capability” received the "Best Student Paper Award” in the TENCON 2020, IEEE Conference, held in Osaka, Japan. We have received 50,000  Japanese yen (approx 450 USD), as prize money in recognition of the award. Congratulations to Farhad and his team!

RI Based Temperature Sensor: Published in IEEE Sensors Journal

August 13: Our paper entitled "An Optimized Dielectric-Metal-Dielectric Refractive Index Nanosensor," has been published in the IEEE Sensors Journal (Impact Factor: 3.3, Q1).  In this paper, utilizing strong light-matter interaction we have presented a RI-based sensor capable of detecting temperature as low as -100° C. July 23: Our paper titled Numerical Investigation of a Plasmonic Refractive Index Sensor Based on Rectangular MIM Topology received the “Best Paper Award” in the ISITIA 2020, IEEE Conference, held in Surabaya, Indonesia.
