"As teachers, we learn from the process of teaching and we learn with the students for whom we make possible the conditions to learn. We also learn from the processes that the students are also teaching us."
Reading the World and Reading the Word: An Interview with Paolo Freire
Background
I was born and raised in Orange County and grew up going to Irvine and Tustin schools. This will be my fourth year teaching overall, and my third year teaching 6th grade at Brywood. I look forward to making the most out of your last year of elementary school and am excited to prepare you for the middle school journey.
When I'm not teaching, you can find me trying tasty, caffeinated drinks, eyeing cute dogs, making Spotify playlists, and planning my next trip.
Education
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education from UC Riverside, and my teaching credential and Master of Education from UCLA.
Fun facts:
I love to travel and hope to travel the world one day!

Teaching
This is my fourth year teaching! I am grateful to be teaching 6th grade for a third year at Brywood. Prior to that, I taught 4th grade at a school in Hollywood in Los Angeles Unified.
Working with young minds and young hearts is very important to me. I believe in empowering youth and creating safe, inclusive spaces for my students. I believe each child comes into the classroom with abundant, valuable knowledge and I hope to foster a classroom culture where learning is celebrated, valued, and relevant.
